A308 Northumberland Avenue (London)
Northumberland Avenue is a London street, running from Trafalgar Square in the west to The Embankment in the east. The avenue was built on the site of Northumberland House, the London home of the Percy family, the Dukes of Northumberland. Several ministry buildings are located in Northumberland Avenue, among them, The Ministry of Defence and DEFRA. The Nigerian High Commission is also based there.
Northumberland Avenue has a square on the London Monopoly board game named after it - it is the most expensive of the pink properties, the others are Pall Mall and Whitehall, and costs £160. Its US Atlantic City equivalent is Virginia Avenue.
