John W. Carpenter Freeway (TX 183)
SH 183 runs from Interstate 20 in Fort Worth to Interstate 35E in Dallas. From I-20, it starts off going northwest, then north along Alta Mere Drive and northeast along River Oaks Boulevard and NE 28th Street. SH 183 meets US Highway 377, then goes on Baker Boulevard to I-820. It is duplexed with SH 121 although its distance is not counted here. When SH 121 veers to the north, SH 183 continues east as a limited access freeway for the rest of its route. It ends at I-35E.
