Just added two places with 7 photos each, 14 altogether and experienced no issues. I've been using the Vivaldi browser (Chrome fork) and I also tried Firefox after reading your post using both maps and satellite views. I can't duplicate your issue - sorry, wish I could help. I know how frustrating photo issues on this site are. |

As now we do not have a common problem with photos, you can try to solve your own problem in several ways...
- It can be a problem with your WM address with 'https' instead of 'http' - need to remove 's' from WM address.
- Your photos can be more than 2 MB, so maybe you just need to resize them, or compress them in another way.
- Also You can try to upload photos in Old Wikimapia, it has much less technical problems.
It would be good to clean cache of your browser often, WM will work faster after that.
Next time, please, do not attach so giant screenshots - their big size do not help more than normal and even small one... |

New pictures uploaded right now are in pending/loading GIF again (Photos moderation)
And also I can't delete photos directly from places but I can delete pictures when I use the Photos moderation tool, this is difficult to use regarding the old uploaded pictures especially uploaded by guests as it will never be seen in Photos moderation because it is limited to 10 pages only unlike before. |

Hello everyone!
Probably not the best topic to post this complaint, but the problem does include photos and an AU, Eliot100. And is the second time around, first was some months ago on exactly the same topic: PHOTOS. To make a rather long and almost useless story short...i drawn the attention of Eliot100 on some of the photos he posted in the region i edit (also local) and from there the discussion quickly escalated, even to national/nationality insults of some sort (not from my part). My impression, after 73 messages exchanged, is that the AU Eliot100 is rather immature, a bit greedy and possibly biased regarding some regions and some of his posts (photos). Being rank 10, with almost 28 000 000 exp. points, and making a big deal if i wanted, and messaged him that i deleted 2 of his photos...kind of speaks volumes. In my opinion as a simple user, who also deleted all the votes i received but contributed to WM heavily, Eliot100 has not the best attitude for an Advanced User!
A great quantity of his photos added are OK, but in some cases, the number of photos on a tag, photos pretty much the same (not necessarily a problem) and some emphasizing negative aspects (street poles with cables, unrenovated buildings or under renovation), and not accepting under any circumstance the deletion of his photos if they are outdated or replaced with better one's or showing the present day situation, is a bit odd to me. If not childish and malicious. And i doubt that the problem is a language barrier.
Key points/aspects in this, apparently simple problem, are:
-refusing and undoing deletion of very few photos that he uploaded, even after explaining why i did that
-having the impression that his photos are, probably, best and should not (if ever) be deleted
-although he mentions on his page "The most important is the quality of the work, not the quantity", he makes repeated mistakes like adding English title or description on the Polish language page (my opinion is that when we create tags in another country is best to use English, which is international, or the local official language, NOT adding only Polish but creating in the country of Panama, just an example)
-neglecting to see the pejorative aspects some of his photos create on some places "i show reality"
Now my opinion on photos and what should be added:
-clearly previous situations of a place/building are accepted as photos, mainly historical photos
-photos should show reality (few times i edited my photos and mostly cropping)
-aside from historical photos, they should be as recent as possible and best quality as possible (tons of tags sadly on WM are with unclear, photo of photo or minuscule photos)
-in totally OK with others deleting my photos if they show a more recent date, better quality (light, focalization, color, angle), personally i have deleted hundreds of my own photos and replaced with better quality one's or that show the present day situation
-photos should show reality but also, if possible, to give a positive aspect to a certain location, not to focus on negative aspects (i guess we all have at home a sofa and a garbage can, most will photograph the sofa and very few both the sofa and garbage can or only the garbage can)

As i said before, several months ago, in Avrig case, you have a special talent in seeing the ugly in buildings, towns and scenery in general. Some people are positive, others are negative...that is your personal problem, do not spread it on Wikimapia. You are an AU too, that boasts on quality, not quantity (not proven by your actions at least in my area).
Except old photos of some historical value, i replace the photos. Even some of your photos, when the buildings are going to be renovated, i will replace them.

Learn to listen to others, especially locals.

Looking at photos moderation window, users upload new photos constantly, they are visible there with all the previews, and on the map too, today also...
So, this is your problem, alas...
Please, check your Wikimapia address - it should begin from [b:51raajj7][color=#0040BF:51raajj7]http[/color:51raajj7][/b:51raajj7], not [b:51raajj7][color=#800000:51raajj7]https[/color:51raajj7][/b:51raajj7] (it can add some additional bugs, maybe with photos as well).
And also clear browser cache often.
If you still have problems, check photo uploading in both Wikimapia versions, it should work in at least one of them -

For me adding photos from web page doesn't work (adding photos page shows empty) because frame resource is incorrectly loaded with http despite me browsing wikimapia website with https:

Now Wikimapia has no problems with photo uploading (looking at the photo moderation windows)...
So - this is your personal problem:
--- It can be a problem with your Wikimapia address with [b:2dd7h1z9][color=#800000:2dd7h1z9]https[/color:2dd7h1z9][/b:2dd7h1z9] instead of [b:2dd7h1z9][color=#0040BF:2dd7h1z9]http[/color:2dd7h1z9][/b:2dd7h1z9] - [b:2dd7h1z9]you need to remove [color=#800000:2dd7h1z9]'s'[/color:2dd7h1z9] from WM address.[/b:2dd7h1z9]
(With [b:2dd7h1z9][color=#800000:2dd7h1z9]https[/color:2dd7h1z9][/b:2dd7h1z9] you get several additional problems, not only with photos...)
--- Uploaded photos cannot be more than [b:2dd7h1z9]2 MB[/b:2dd7h1z9], so maybe you just need to compress / resize them to this size or below.
