Creator undelete it with a reason – ‘Wikipedia Link has been given’, but no Wikipedia link I have ever found. Moreover, in 'Wikipedia search' no Pindar Valley has been found. As per my local knowledge it is a non-existing place. So, Delete the Tag.
Generally, Valley is a Geological feature. No geological feature can be marked as a place. Where valley represents a name of a place we can mark it as a Tag, e,g, ‘Valley of Flowers’.
I have found gorges as a valley, such as –
1. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="wikimapia.org/#lang=en&;lat=31.381779&lon=78.364105&z=11&m=b&search=gangotri">wikimapia.org/#lang=en&;lat=31.38 ... h=gangotri<!-- m -->

Gorge is also a geological feature. According to Wikimapia guideline, could we tag the geological feature as a place? I think ‘NO’.
Every river creates a river valley. It is better to mark a river along with riverside through river tools. So, there is no necessity to mark river valley (geological feature) as a place.
So, I would request to the forum to delete above 3 links and other places marked based on same reason should be deleted. |

No need to detach a child tag in order to delete it (just delete it)
In 2 hours time (when the child's are gone) you can delete the parent.

I've found a user tagging many fields, forests with no descriptions or simply "forest" "farma land".

As per my understanding of the Photo policy..
These Photos are 'secondary photos' as per policy policy and are allowed to be uploaded if there are free slots available.
Subject to the condition - " Despite foreground obstacles, the object must be clearly visible in the background "
So, the marked object should be clearly visible in the background of the object.
Since, the two photos show the marked object behind, they cannot be deleted. However, these can be deleted if primary photos are to occupy the slots in future.

I agree, The house is visible in the photo, also the photo is not a close-up of any person, it is at some distance.
So it is a valid secondary image, if no primary images are available.

It is Place Name added in Street Name Box of Deleted Place. But, now it is without any related objects but strangely it is not marked for deletion. Seems to be a case of a Bug.
I also renamed them, so that nobody uses them in objects.

It automatically deletes, if the linear object does not have any related objects to it.

But, there is some delay (may be due to bug) in the object getting marked for deletion by the system. |

Hi,
I've found an user tagging little ponds and lakes using the [i:2854vp64]river tool[/i:2854vp64].

But I can't manage to delete them.
Any idea on how to do ?
(This user is also tagging "big trees" and other unuseful items. I sent him a message.)

You can't delete it because user Emmanuel_Itsios deleted all the segments himself.
