Ban policy
Banning is the act of restricting a user's account, and therefore the privileges it offers, by Advanced Users and Wikimapia Administrators. Although, Wikimapia Administrators reserve the right to ban any user, Advanced Users can only ban users as per the ban reasons listed under section 4. Users ban policy of the Wikimapia Guidelines.

Remedial
The remedial stage consists of Guidance and Warning.
1. Guidance
The Guidance stage should always be perceived as the only one required to enlighten new, inexperienced and settled users. It is customary as well as necessary to establish a dialogue with a user so that you can:
- indicate the error they are committing
- show or prove to them why the error is regarded as incorrect
- provide a solution for them to correct the mistake
- advise them to avoid making the same mistake again
A few basic requirements for Guidance to be successful is for you to be friendly, patient and approachable. Aside from extremely rare exceptions, you are also required to adhere to the Banning Guidelines when communicating and handling a user regardless of his/her culpability.
2. Warning
If an user persists (continues to make similar mistakes, does cancellation of correct editing, swears etc.), it is necessary to show it point/place in the Rules which it breaks. It is necessary to write that wrong actions may be cause of ban.
