You can actually color on the tables here! Actually, you can color on the butcher paper they lay on the tables. When you arrive, your waiter or waitress will write his or her name on the table—upside-down from his or her view—with crayons. It must take a lot of practice to do it well. They'll leave a few crayons at your table and you can make silly little drawings.
You can try writing your own name upside-down; diners on the other side of the table can confirm how well you can do this. You can play hangman or other paper games, or you could circle the footprints of your plate, glass, and silverware and label where they all go. If you're seated at a big table, you could work with the other diners in your party to create a beautiful mural during the course of your meal. I don't recommend writing swear words or drawing inappropriate illustrations—this is a family restaurant.
Once, we had a waiter named Chris and he wrote his name with red and green crayons, since those were the only colors we had on our table. We turned his name into "Merry Christmas" and drew Christmas-themed drawings with our Christmas color crayons. Chris didn't seem to notice.
They serve Italian food.
