On the House of Future exhibition

The exhibition welcomes its visitors with regularly changing displays presented on two floors of a total of 3000 square-meters. Its syllabus embraces a wide spectrum: the exhibits address topics from genetic research through astronautics to astronomy. Moreover, a world novelty of Hungarian origin will have its premiere, too: Visitors will be received and assisted by three intelligent 'hostess robots', designed especially for the House of Future.

The exhibition will provide a chance to meet the future – as we envision it today. It will give us orientation in a playful, entertaining and experimental manner. It promises a pleasant pastime for all those who are interested in the achievements and the novelties in certain areas of science, and it presents the newest trends that most occupy the researchers of today's world.

The House of Future will also accommodate a number of contemporary media art pieces that were especially created for this occasion by the winners of the related tender of the National Cultural Fund. The tender received 50 million forint support from the Ministry of National Cultural Heritage as well as 100 million forint from the Ministry of Informatics and Communications.

In the House of Future, an accentuated role is given to intellectual achievements from Hungary but it also provides space for future-oriented foreign developments. Together with the four astronautical displays, including the Hungarian-made Mars rover, the exhibits Designing Life – The genetic Drawing Board as well as the Images of the Heart are all Hungarian and unique developments made exclusively for the House of Future – similarly to the flight simulator which is expected to raise an immense interest.
