East Boston (Boston, Massachusetts)

East Boston, MA - one of the city of Boston's neighborhoods. Along with Charlestown, it is not phyically connected to Boston proper.

Originally consisting of five islands, the area grew as sections were filled in. The largest landfill project was the expansion of Logan Airport during WWII.
