Princess Park - District of North Vancouver (District of North Vancouver)

Beautiful park, popular for dog walking, kids playground, tennis courts with washrooms. Historic Hastings creek runs through the park. In the 1950s the creek was dammed with a concrete spillway, creating a large swimming hole. The water was murkey and freezing, but the lack of alternatives still drew the crowds on hot summer days. There was no formal park then; the area was just called Princess Pool.
