Universal Studios Florida (Or simply "Universal Studios") opened in 1990. It is one of two theme parks in Universal Orlando.

  • Prior to opening as a theme park this was a functioning studio. When fire damaged much of the California studios in the mid 1980s several films in production moved here in less than a week and finished up here. Several of the empty sound stages are still kept ready to use for back up to hollywood production facilities.
