Known to the locals as "Fort Kresge." Constructed in 1972, the building closed in 2006 when Kmart purchased Sears and moved to suburban Chicago. A 2008 redevelopment plan failed and in December 2009, the building and 40-acre site was purchased by the owners of the adjacent Somerset Collection. It was demolished in 2023.
