  • Since the advent of Sheraton, regarded as the 2nd best hotel in Addis. Sometimes listed as a 5 star hotel but please take this with a grain of salt. The accommodations are sub standard at best and realistically somewhat shoddy especially when it comes to the rooms and the service isn't that great either. The one thing this place has going for it is some kind of ambience that just brings people there for hanging out at the Lobby Bar, Sheba Lounge or by the pool. Other than that, food is also sub standard and exceptionally overpriced. Occupancy rate seems to constantly be 95% plus so book well in advance and pray they'll honor it.

  • The geothermal hot water is very relaxing and the area around the pool is just a fun place to be. However, Tuesdays is to be avoided, since the water is drained every Monday and by when it opens on Tuesday, it is almost unbearably hot. I particularly enjoyed swimming here in winter specially while heavy rain is down pouring. With all the water plashing...kind of feels like swimming in large body of water and also most people vacate the pool.
