LAND, WE WORKED VERY HARD DAY AND NIGHT, TO CONSTRUCT THE URAN GAS PLANT FOR ONGC.AT THAT TIME WE USED TO GO TO THE PEOPLE LIVING NEARBY TO GET WORK BY

THEM. NOW THE TOWN OF URAN IS IN THE WORLD MAP. I FEEL PROUD OF MYSELF AS A

PERSON ONCE ASSOCEATED HERE TO WORK FORTHE PLACE. I HOPE PEOPLE OF THIS

PLACE TO PROSPER MORE.MY GOOD WISHES TO THE TOWN AND ALSO THE MORA JETTY

WHERE I STAYED OVER NIGHT FOR MY JOB ,EVEN WITHOUT SHELTER. ONLY THOSE TANGA

Uran is tha place where i had and spent best part of my life, that is my teenage period. That is long long ago. I cannot and will never forget my life there. Definitely things might have changed all these years.Around 30 to 35 years back that was very energetic prestine village with so much of hope and dream. I am really lucky to be a uranite.

I would have liked to settle in Uran because it is such a nice & cool place. So far I have not been there but one day I will go there specially Mora village. That's for sure.. (jayanraj@rediffmail.com)

I came to know about this place in Nov 1987 and since last 18 years i am residing here. It has become my native place only. Has good climate and known for energetic celebration of all religious festivals. It is surrounded by sea on 3 sides and Dronagiri hill. It has centuries old Siddhivinayak Temple & Dronagiri devi temple. Konkan villiage atmosphere is slowly turning in to urban look.
