K12 is a peak in the Saltoro range, near and just to the east of the Actual Ground Position Line (under Indian control). The glaciers just a few kilometers to the west are controlled by Pakistan
It is one of the two (along with K2) peaks in the Karakarom that still has its original numbering, rather than common name to address it.
