The Oprichny (Life-Guardsmen's) Court of Ivan IV the Terrible - now the Printing House of the Department of Journalism of the M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University (Moscow)

During Ivan the Terrible's lifetime here were located the chambers of his opritchniks - Life-gusrdsmen's (Oprichny)court. Arrangement is completely understandable: the next large Nikitskaya street, along which passes the boundary between The the [zemshchinoy] and the opritchnina (in Zemshchinna with guided boyars, and in the opritchnina - tsar). Until the present time it is preserved with two strongly reconstructed one-storeyed rock chambers of XVI century for the university. Now the printing house of the department of journalism of Moscow State University (officially - “training polygraphic laboratory ") is located here. Buildings are in very poor condition and require immediate scientific restoration.
