Second World War 1939-1945, military, bunker

In response to the quick advance of German military into France the HQ of Hitler was moved west.
In May 1940 the tiny little village of Brûly-de-Pesche was selected and shortly afterwards the population of the five houses was evacuated and a quick construction begun with the primary focus on a small bunker and a wooden "Chalet" for Hitler down in the little forest path just 100m from the western end of the village.
Other personnel occupied the small village.
Hitler spend about three weeks in this place witnessing the capitulation of France.
The famous film where he dances around when getting the news of the capitulation was made here.
He also started here for his short trip to Paris on June 23rd 1940.
