SS-Obergruppenführer Heydrich's grave is in Section A of the Invalidenfriedhof, Scharnhorststraße, Berlin.
Heydrich was attacked by assassins in Prague on 27 May 1942 and died over a week later on June 4th from complications arising from his injuries. He was buried with full military honors next to the grave of General of Infantry Count Tauentzien von Wittenberg, who fought against Napoleon in the wars of liberation (1813-1815) and who's gravestone is still visible.
Heydrich was to have had a monumental tomb, designed by the architect Wilhelm Kreis and the sculptor Arno Breker. Although because of the downhill course of the war, the tomb was never built. Heydrich’s wooden grave marker disappeared in 1945.
His grave is still present in the underground but unmarked since the late 40ties.

  • This is the correct location of Heydrich's grave. Many people claim that the grave is not here but in Section C of the Invalidenfriedhof between the graves of General Scharnhorst and Karl von Oven. German newspapers of 1942 covering the funeral confirm that Heydrich is buried beside Graf Tauentzien von Wittenberg in this very place.
  • Yes.I found it today. Actually that's the only grave that was distoryed in all Sec A. That must be the right place I think.
  • the casket and vault was dug up by NKVD in 1947, body photographed and then and incinerated at a trash furnace there is nothing of Heydrich at Invalidenfriedhof -
  • That's news to me and ,I suspect,a lot of interested others..what is your basis or evidence for this statement??
  • The grave was not dug up by the NKVD. Heydrich still rests in Section A.
  • Read the Wikipedia article on this guy. Wow, can't believe his body hasn't been destroyed.

  • That is where he is, to this very day.
  • It's history, right or wrong, good or bad - why make up bullshit sotries? Your stupidity doesn't take away the fact he is buried there.
  • The highlighted spot in the cemetary is a stone foundation but according to historical sources the original grave marker was just a wooden cross?
