also called Green Hill by some locals. One of the last remaining green spaces in Tacoma, this hill has some wetlands area that has helped to protect the site from development over the years. Often a site of crime in the 80s, the hill has slowly been cleaned up, recently helped by the development of Wapato Hills Park, located at the southwest corner of the property. This hill has been owned by the City of Tacoma for most of the last few decades. Plenty of small wildlife inhabit the area, as well as some larger animals such as fox, coyote, and random stray dogs and cats.
