The Thames Path starts here! And the first thing you encounter is a locked gate - you're not allowed to follow it under the Thames Barrier walkway. So you have to head inland instead - I tried it and got lost, gave up and went home from Charlton station. So much for the Thames Path ...

  • I recently went from here walked to Greenwich, and it was a lovely 5 miles walk. Passing many derelict and disused wharfs, in it's heyday, it must be a very busy port.
