 neighbourhood  Add category

Laurel Hill is a sub-neighborhood of Maspeth in the New York City borough of Queens, NY. It is more commonly referred to as "West Maspeth" or as simply a part of Maspeth and not a distinct neighborhood. It was once a residential area, but has been heavily industrial since the early part of the 20th century, causing it to lose some of it's identity. There are still single and multi-family homes scattered throughout, though they are vastly outnumbered by warehouses and other forms of industry near the Newtown Creek.

  • I grew up on 44th st and 52ave across from PS 76. We moved to 48th St in woodside when the city knocked our house down to enlarge the Long Island Expressway.
