Petermann Glacier

Largest floating glacier in the northern hemisphere.
About 500 square miles of ice are supported by the water beneath.
New and/or expanding cracks, some of which are visible in this picture, lead at least some environmental scientists to believe the glacier is rapidly melting and may soon break up.
