Ravensway is a wooded neighborhood located in Cypress, Texas (77429). It is divided in two parts Ravensway South and Ravensway Proper.
Ravensway derives its name from the legendary Texas General Sam Houston who was nicknamed "The Raven". The Texas Army camped along the banks of Cypress Creek here on its way to meet Mexican General Santa Ana in a showdown at the Battle of San Jacinto where Texas won its independence from Mexico. There is a Texas state historical marker in the subdivision.
