  • About sixty years back we lived at Rudri. My father was incharge of The Rudri dam and canal. We used to visit Mooram silly often and stay at the dak bunglow situated at the top of the hill. The reservoir was filled crocodiles basking in the sun on the shore. My father while taking an evening after dinnner came face to face for the first time with a wild tiger. It was a very unnerving experience and fortunately nothig happened. He was not feeling well for the next few days. We live now at Monreal, Canada and the memories of my child days are still fresh as ever.
  • I should have properly edited my comments before the submission. My father took an evening walk when he met the tiger just below the dak bunglow. He was not harmed in any way except his nerves. My childhood growing up at Admabad near Balod, Rudri, Balaghat, Jagdalpur etc. have left a unforgettable flood of memories and experiences over the years. India was my janam bhumi while Canada became the karma bhumi and eventual new home. All thr best.
