City: Makati
Area: 103.5215 hectares
Population: 17,120 (May 1, 2010 Census)

Barangay Poblacion is the first settlement of the City of Makati. In fact, when you mentioned San Pedro Makati during the pre-war period, it indicated Barangay Poblacion. Since it was the original community of the town, it became the center of the local government and has remained as such today.

It is bounded by Pasig River to the north, Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo to the east, Barnagay Bel-Air to the south, and Barangay Valenzuela to the west. Its boundaries lie on (clockwise) Pasig River, Estrella Street, Rockwell Drive, Kalayaan Avenue, Orion Street, Polaris Street, Anza Street, Makati Avenue, Kalayaan Avenue (again), and Reposo (comprises Nicanor Garcia and Antipolo Streets).

It is currently headed by Barangay Capt. Jose C. Villena IV.
