In 1993 The Beach House opened in the building that had formerly been occupied by the Triton Restaurant. There are VERY FEW restaurants on the beach in California and The Beach House in Cardiff by the Sea is one of them. Go for the menu based Sunday Brunch and relax the morning away watching the waves break at your feet and the surfers honing their skills just offshore. The brunch prices are very reasonable and the included champagne flows until you turn it off.

Sure it might need a bit of TLC, but anyplace on the sand tends to get to get that way as years go by. Name another ‘on the sand’ restaurant in California with an open patio and deck that doesn’t show some weathering here and there. Regardless, if you’re looking at the rust spots, you’re missing the real view!
