This is the Truck Assembly plant for "International" brand trucks.
In the bottom sections of the marked square can be seen rows of new tractor trailer trucks waiting for a buyer or a change in the economy.

In 1910 International Harvester of Chicago Illinois bought the Chatham Wagon Works, maker of wagons and sleighs, located on Grand Avenue East. By 1922 International began making trucks for the Canadian market.

In 1948 a new 300,000 square foot plant was built on Richmond Street West and the Grand Avenue East plant was sold. Since then the Richmond Street factory has been expanded several times and today totals approximately 790,000 square feet of building area on 80 acs. of land. At one time the plant employed approximately 2,100 workers. The name was changed to Navistar in 1986. In of 2010 it was announced plans for closure.
