Site of the 1935 sit-down strike that gave birth to the UAW (for better or for worse, as you can see now the GM and Fisher Body plants are all now razed). Demolition of the last two vacant GM/Fisher plants was finished in 2002. Delphi plant on the south side of the Flint river was shut down and razed in 2005. GM Tool and Die remains, right next door to the Wild Things gentlemen's establishment.
