The former Nissan Motors plant has been converted into a multi tenant industrial/commercial business park, with 148,515 sqm of space in 21 buildings.

In 1954, Martin and King, a manufacturer of railway vehicles and automobile bodies based in Armadale, opened the plant to produce railway stock in Clayton. The company was soon producing automobiles for Volkswagen from imported kits and the railway business was moved to Port Melbourne. In 1960, the factory was enlarged to permit the expansion of VW production as well as production for other auto makers. By 1968, following the formation of a new company called Motor Producers, the plant was expanded again to produce Datsuns and Volvos.

The plant was acquired by Nissan in 1976. It was closed in 1992 and later converted into a business park.
