Built in 1925 to provide adequate electricity to the streetcars which once ran here, especially during the afternoon rush. The tracks were originally located to the south of the building, as they headed to and from the Key Route Mole. Once the Bay Bridge opened, eliminating ferry service, the tracks were re-routed to the north of the building and trains ran on the lower deck of the bridge until the Key Systems's closure.
