Louise Square (Luisenplatz) (Potsdam)

The Luisenplatz in Potsdam is located at the western end of the downtown pedestrian street in front of the Brandenburg Gate Brandenburg, outside the 1733 city limits.
The place was named after the famous Queen Louise. In 1854, the square was provided with a fountain.
The fountain was originally designed in 1854. It was demolished in the early 1900s and rebuilt in 2001.
In the communist era, the Luisenplatz was named "Place of the nations".
