Every two months, on the third Friday, the Exploding Cinema screens films at the Half Moon pub in Herne Hill. The next show dates are: Friday July 18th, Friday 17th October, Friday 19th December, 2008. We open the doors at 8pm and the films go on until around midnight. Your £5 membership buys you exclusive neural access to recent activity observed in the underground world of no and lo-budget film. Usually there's live musik, maybe an installation, definitely a raffle and hopefully an engaging audience. Expect the unexpected. We offer a full out-of-body experience, free of the shackles of contemporary cinematic experience. No popcorn, no censorship. If you think that a film is crap then we encourage you to say so. The film-maker may be present - you can buy them a drink and tell how much better your film will be. When you've made it, send it to us and we'll include it in a screening as soon as possible.
