This bridge is a wonderfull marvel built in 1928 across a narrow river, separating two states (Kerala-Karnataka) on solid rocks with no middle pillars,maintainig a dangerous height.
Koottupuzha is a village in Kannur District, situated near its border with Karnataka, in Kerala. It lies on the State Highway 30, about 60 km north-east of Kannur and 15 km north of Iritti. Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary is the major tourist spot nearby.
The nearest airport is at Kozhikode. Kannur Railway Station serves Koottupuzha.
