The only road connecting Sanibel and Captiva islands to the mainland. There is a $6 toll for island-bound vehicles only, no toll when leaving the island.

On September 29, 2022, Hurricane Ian destroyed part of the causeway, leaving Sanibel and Captiva islands cut off from the mainland.
