Crown Copper Island

With a landmass three and three quarter square miles, this is the largest of the copper islands to appear in the mid atlantic eruption of 1876. Clamied by the United Kingdom it was later handed over to Argentina in the Territorial Exchange of 1903. It was returned to the United Kindgdom as part of the Falklands peace treaty and now acts primarily as a tactical naval base.
