The Pier (City of North Vancouver)

The Pier development www.thepier.info/ being built on the site of the former Wallace Shipyard/Burrard Dry Dock shipyard.

Planned as part of this development is the National Maritime Centre, utilizing some of the former shipyard buildings. Among the historical displays to be housed at the Centre are the stern and engines from the Victory ship HMS Flamborough Head, a shipyard crane, and possibly the RCMP schooner St. Roch, which currently resides at the Vancouver Maritime Museum. (In fact, there is some talk that the VMM will be moved to this site but the future of VMM is subject of some controversy at present).
