Sullivan's, (617 268-5685) an old-fashioned takeout restaurant on Boston Harbor, has been a fixture of Castle Island in South Boston for ages. Sullivan's is to Southie what Kelly's Roast Beef is to Revere Beach. Oddly enough, while nearly everyone in Boston has been to Kelly's (or at least knows about it), Sullivan's is relatively unknown to people who live west and north of Boston. Sullivan's serves your basic cheap grub, such as chicken sandwiches, fries, onion rings and ice cream. The hamburgers and hot dogs are the standouts here though; the burgers are cheap, greasy and absolutely delicious, while the hot dogs are juicy and grilled to perfection. Not open in the winter.
