Lake Winnipegosis (52°30′N, 100°00′W; see Lake Winnibigoshish) is a large (5,370 km²) lake in central North America, in Manitoba, Canada, some 300 km northwest of Winnipeg. It is Canada's eleventh-largest lake. An alternate spelling, once common but now rare, is Lake Winipigoos.
It, along with Lake Winnipeg and Lake Manitoba, is a remnant of the ancient Lake Agassiz, an immense lake formed by glacial meltwater at the end of the last ice age.
