Welcome to the suburbs of Suffolk. We’re here at Castle Hill in Ipswich because the children at the local primary school wanted to know more about the castle that gives this place it’s name.

When we started looking into it though, we didn’t find some Medieval stronghold, but something much more exciting. Beneath these well tended lawns and patios could lie the biggest Roman Villa ever discovered in Suffolk.

So, how big was this building, and what on earth was it doing here. Time Team and the people of Castle Hill, have got just three days to find out.
