The Weslyan Reform Chapel (Leasingham)


This dates from 1898 and was originally a building of wood and brick farther down Chapel Lane from the site of the present Chapel, The current Chapel was built in 1967 and re-roofed in 1990-91 by members of the chapel and circuit. The heating of the original chapel was by means of of a large coke stove in the middle of the building. There were probably six windows. Baptisms were held from January 1898 - the first name recorded being Ena, daughter of Charles and Alice Dixon.
