Ex - USS Competent (ARDM-6)

Laid down during WWII for the US Navy, this Medium Auxiliary Floating Dry Dock was delivered in 1944 and named USS Competent in 1974. It served for 53 years based out of Pearl Harbor, where it originally serviced Destroyer Escorts and small Destroyers but eventually became a dedicated submarine repair/refit facility.

USS Competent was decommissioned and struck from the US Navy in 1997 and was donated to a private company based out of Kalaeloa Harbor.
