Lachplesis Monument (Jūrmala)

In 1953 a statue of Leonidas Kristovskie "Lachplesis" or "battle with the dragon" was built, it is made of stone and concrete, with a metal sword and flag. Initially the sculpture was located in a basin and served as a fountain. The sculpture repeatedly lost the sword, but was fully restored in the summer of 2003, when the reconstruction of the park took place.
