Ford Fields opened first in 2002. It is comprised of twelve championship caliber fast pitch softball/youth baseball fields. Each has hard covered stands and all-weather infields. The Fields complex has one centralized gate, concessions and restrooms and 1,000 on-site parking spaces.
The Southeast Texas Baseball Academy baseball tournaments are organized by Morgan Walker, a former professional baseball player and part owner of the Southeast Texas Baseball Academy. Co-owner Jason Tyner plays for the Minnesota Twins. The Academy, located near Ford Fields, offers professional instruction in batting, fielding and pitching to area youth.
