Camden Place was the former residence of Napoleon III who spent his last years living here with his wife in exile after the end of the Second Empire of France. He died here in 1873 and is buried in St. Michael's Abbey, Farnborough. This building now serves as a Clubhouse for the Chislehurst Golf Club.
