Monterosso al Mare, Cinque Terre, Italy

This area is a must for anyone visiting Italy. Not that long ago the only way to reach the villages were by mule or boat.
As you drive down the hilly road to the villages you will see why mules were used

  • Plus: one way to reach the villages was, and still is, the milk train, which used to carry milk and post to people living there.
