Matochkim Shar nuclear testing site, "Site B". Place of many Soviet underground nuclear tests between 1964 and 1990.

September 12, 1973 - most powerful Soviet underground nuclear test - four devices with combined power of 4.2 megatons.

Terrain has been affected by rock slides, glacier avalanches and displaced land masses.

After 1998 "Site B" has been used for subcritical nuclear testing.
