The parking lot of this movie theater was originally a drive-in movie theater called the Twin Drive-In Theatre. It was closed in the 1980s and torn down for The Real Superstore, a large supermarket with expanded general merchandise offerings, but after the Real Superstore closed in the late 1990s, it was torn down for a modern movie theater. The cinema gained notoriety in July 2015 when a man opened fire in a theater showing the Judd Apatow film "Trainwreck". The Grand closed immediately afterwards, reopening November of that year.
