The St. Petersburg (Leningrad) Documentary Film Studios is Russia’s oldest state documentary studios, having been founded in 1918. Hundreds of films, covering every aspect of Russian and foreign history in the 20th Century, have been created on the Studio chronics. Today the Studio is one of the largest producers of documentaries, chronicles and film annals in Russia.
