Tal Hamis

Tal Hamis (Arabic: تل حميس‎), is a Syrian town in Cizire Canton, Rojava. Wadi Jarrah flows though the town. The town had 5,161 and sub-district had a total population of 71,699 in 2004, mostly Arabs. Center of the Tal Hamis subdistrict of Qamişlo district of Hasaka governorate.

The town passed on controll of FSA, in 2013, and Islamic State, in 2014, but Kurdish fighters of the Syrian-Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) have recaptured it 28/02/2015.
The secutiry is managed by YPG kurdish and arab soldiers, and also by Al Sanadid, the armed wing of arab Shammar tribe.
