SCCC's Center for Science and Technology (CST) holds classrooms, physics/electrical engineering and chemistry labs, and faculty offices. The archaeology department is located in its basement.
The building has seen many uses since the beginning of the 20th century; first the home of the Edison Club, then WRGB's television studio, and then GE's Visual Education Center. GE deeded the building to the community college in 1985, and it first opened as an academic building in the fall of 1987.
