A major jewel in the Fairfax County park system, starring the lake, golf club, amusement facilities, & camp grounds.

There are many pedestrian entrances to the park, but only three vehicle entrances. All three are on Ox road, along the SW side of the park, for the Golf Club, the Nature Center(main,$10/vehicle), and the Public Boat Launch.
Fish are edible. Swimming is prohibited.
The site was originally (ca. 1960?) considered as one of the locations to build Dulles Airport.
